In some cases, the report you order will provide several pieces of information. For example, the Corporation Profile Report will provide the correct name, address for service, status, officers and directors information. A Certificate of Status will indicate the legal name, date of incorporation and official status of a corporation. A Business Names Report will detail the correct name and address of the business, date of registration or renewal, type of entity, business activities and registrant's name and address. Lien searches include a PPSA search, Bank Act Sec. 427 search, Insolvency Search and Writs of Execution search. A search of the Personal Property Securities Act and Repair & Storage Liens Act will provide details on financing statements and other claims against personal property filed in the Ontario PPSR system. A Bank Act Sec. 427 search will advise if a bank has filed a Notice of Intention to give security to a company or individual. Insolvency searches check for bankruptcy matters filed with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. A search for Writs of Execution will uncover whether an execution against real property has been lodged at a sheriff's office as a result of a successful court action by a creditor to collect moneys owed by a debtor in default. |
